DESCRIPTION

BNA Oxidized (Blown) Grade Bitumen is product by vigorous air blowing. BNA Oxidized (Blown) Bitumen 85/25 is product by either a staggered or a continuous blowing process. The heated penetration Grade Bitumen under controlled environment is blown with air which controls the oil content in the Bitumen which it is oxidized. The different grades produced for suited applications are distinguished by two numbers to indicate the mid points of their softening point and penetration ranges. They are more ‘rubber like’ and less temperature susceptible than the paving grades. Fuel oil can be added to the process to increase the penetration if required for custom applications and requirements.

APPLICATION

BNA Oxidized bitumen 85/25 has many technical advantages including its durability, flexibility, water resistance and chemical stability. BNA Oxidized Grade Bitumen is widely used as an ant-slip layer compound in the piling industry, for the manufacturing or sound dampening felts and acoustic panels, for the manufacture of roofing felts and roofing operations, pipe coating, under sealing for pavements, hydraulic applications, membrane envelopes, flooring, mastics, for the manufacture of under carriage sealant in the automobile industry, electric cable joint protection, industrial waterproofing, carpet-backing, carpet tile manufacture, corrosion protection, raw material for liquid bitumen coatings, for the manufacture of paints, joint filling compound, sealant compound and a multitude of industrial applications.

PACKING AND SUPPLY

180 Kg New steel drums or eco-friendly poly bags. Weatherproof packing for flexibility of storage.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Storage in unopened containers. Storage temperature limits 1°C - 50°C

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION RATE

Recommended Spraying Temperature: Blown grade bitumen shall be broken up into small pieces and heated slowly to the application temperature of ° - 230°C.
