BNA DPC TAR is a high-performance waterproofing liquid used as a damp-proof membrane, vapor barrier, and a water repellent weathering coat, used prior to the erection of masonry on rubble foundations. The product contains a proportionate mix of oxidized bitumen, organic solvents, and additives.

APPLOCATION

Apply by brush or a roller. A minimum of two coats of BNA DPC TAR is recommended. Allow 8 hours between coats and apply each coat at right angles to the previous coat.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface preparation is very important in achieving satisfactory results. Before the application of BNA DPC TAR, all surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, dirt, and loose material. Any hollows in the structure must be filled to an even, smooth finish with cement mortar.

Concrete surfaces should be brushed or floated to achieve a smooth surface. Masonry should be stable and plus pointed. If necessary, consideration should be given to the application of a sand/cement slurry to fully seal all textured surfaces.
